About Emelina
Michelle and Emelina Minero, mother and daughter, co-founded the Love Warrior Community together. Emelina puts her energy into growing the Love Warrior Community as the Creative Director and Social Media Manager.
Emelina attended Randolph-Macon Woman’s College, majoring in Spanish and minoring in Creative Writing. She delved into the creative arts, experimenting with painting, film, photography and various forms of writing. She wrote and edited for the school newspaper for 3 years, and ran the newspaper as the Editor-in-Chief her senior year. The arts and creative process play a huge part in the Love Warrior Community and in her life.
After graduating in 2010, she started taking web design classes and landed an internet marketing internship. Once the internship ended, she gained one of her employers as an internet marketing mentor and worked with him on his personal projects for 6 months. While she was working with him she became a freelance entrepreneur and took on freelance work in web design, internet marketing, social media, online community building, writing, editing, translating and film editing.
She has recently strayed away from freelance work (only taking on an occasionally editing, writing or social media gig) dedicating most of her time to building two online communities: the Love Warrior Community and Community Bucket List, a community that enables people to achieve their passions and goals.
Outside of online community building, another one of Emelina’s passions is writing and the LGBTQA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, transgender, queer, questioning and ally) community. She writes for Curve Magazine, the best-selling lesbian magazine in the nation and is a Literature Critic for EDGE Boston, a GLBT online news publication, and has been published in LOTL magazine, an Australian lesbian publication.
It’s Emelina’s goal to use her networking skills and passion for people to help create a global community. By starting with empowering individuals, she’ll enable them to empower others through sharing their energy and passion with the world.
