About Michelle

Michelle and Emelina Minero, mother and daughter, co-founded the Love Warrior Community together.

Michelle has been a licensed marriage family therapist (MFT) since 1994. Prior to 1994, as an intern, she offered women support groups, which focused on body image and eating disorders. She created Quest, an intensive outpatient eating disorder program in 2000 for PsychStrategies, Inc and founded Eating Disorder Recovery Support, Inc. (EDRS) in 2005.

EDRS Inc. is a 501(c)3 non-profit organization that is dedicated to promoting community awareness about eating disorders, as well as professional education and collaboration with the overall goal of supporting individuals and families on their path to healing and recovery from an eating disorder. One example of EDRS’ outreach is their annual conference, which is a fundraiser for their treatment fund. In 2010, sixteen individuals were awarded scholarships, which enabled them to receive treatment that they otherwise couldn’t afford. Michelle handed down the presidency and is currently an Advisory Board Member of EDRS Inc.

Michelle also offers women’s retreats and workshops revolving around body image and self-love, facilitates SoulCollage® workshops and speaks at conferences. Michelle enjoys her private practice, and it’s her goal to continue to bring in creativity and spirituality into the recovery process.

Her ultimate goal is to have a world free of eating disorders and she hopes to contribute to this goal through the Love Warrior Community and her  Self-Love Diet: The Only Diet That Works. Buy her book here.

Michelle hopes that through the Love Warrior Community everyone will start healing the world by starting with themselves.
